The PieceMakers are working on a collaboration mosaic right now as well! Surfscapes, a non-profit organization in Portsmouth NH helping to keep the New Hampshire coastline clean, has asked us to create a mosaic surfboard for them. The board has seen it's days on the ocean, and the team is recycling it & turning it into a beautiful bench. The PieceMaker surfboard bench will be auctioned off, along with other artist's benches, to local Portsmouth businesses, and then installed in an outdoor public place. More to come as this project unfolds!

Congratulations to Waschbear Designs for being voted the over-all favorite piece!

It's a wonderful mosaic... full of spirit & made with much love. I know I speak for many of us when I say that I've come across wise old trees in the forest that exuded this same feeling that Waschbear has captured. It's a magical mosaic.

And congratulations to the two other amazing entries as well! Both of the other entries are vibrant, unique, and inspiring designs. Asking people to choose an over-all favorite piece seems almost cruel sometimes. :)

Thank you to Tiny Tile Mosaics, who will be giving the winner a gift certificate to their wonderful shop!
If you are a mosaic supply shop, and would like to sponsor one of our challenges by donating a gift certificate to the winner, please contact me at aledwards@gmail.com.

Tree of Life

It's summer! - and the PieceMakers are all busy at mosaics, work, play, family, and all the other things that come along with this very busy time of year. I know that many of our members tried to get a piece going for this challenge, but 'tis the time of year where there just aren't enough hours in the day! Lucky for us all though, 3 of our incredibly talented team mates participated in this challenge. The theme is "Tree of Life". They're all spectacular pieces. Please take a moment to check out the shops of these three wonderful artists along with casting your vote for your favorite piece!
